Avenia Bridal Has Moved!

One of our most favorite wedding gown havens, Avenia Bridal, has moved to a new location in Orem. We here at Utah Valley Bride are so happy for them. LOVE these ladies of Avenia. (Special shout-out to Lisa and Nancy!)

They request the pleasure of your company at the address below, anytime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Avenia Bridal
228 E. University Parkway, Orem

Pictures of the new digs are to come, but in the meantime, please go visit them. And their dresses. You should definitely visit their dresses.

FUN FACT: Utah Valley Bride's very own graphic designer, Leah, got her dress at Avenia Bridal. Aren't they pretty?

Leave It Hanging

WE DO ... gown glory photos!

Your chosen frock is pretty much the No. 3 star of your wedding (right behind the newly anointed Mr. and Mrs.). Do it justice by having your photographer snap photos that you'll hang onto — until death do you part, of course.

extra, extra

There just aren't enough glossy pages.

When we saw cover bride Sarina's '40s-themed engagement session by Nichole V. Photography, we were all kinds of smitten. However, smitten or not, there just wasn't enough room in our 2011 issue to share them with you properly. (Sob!)

But thanks to a little-known thing called the information superhighway, we bring you this extra, extra gush all about it.

So what are you waiting for? Gush, ladies, gush.

P.S. Want more Sarina? Check out her lovely love story here.

WHAT TO LOVE The veil vision coupled with her powerful profile makes for oh so much more than a pretty picture.

WHAT TO LEARN Every bride needs a little drama — just make it the gorgeous posing kind.

Eye-Catching

EYELASHES BY Extensions by Lindy (www.extensionsbylindy.com)
PHOTO BY Photography by McKenzie (www.photographybymckenzie.com)
PHOTO FUN FACT Our dear McKenzie is the model.
Her very talented husband/partner, Greg, shot this session.

Want to look the part? Be a looker? Have a look-see? (Catch my vision?)

Then eyelash extensions are a sight to be seen! (I know. I need to be stopped.) Not only are they magically mesmerizing, but mascara need not apply. Can we get a hallelujah?

In any case, Lindy Hughes, of Extensions By Lindy, shares three reasons you should become a lash-full bride.

1. PURE BEAUTY
Eyelash extensions give the look of mascara without the clumps and patience that come along with it. Who wants to worry about running mascara on their big day? Eyelash extensions stay in place, are hassle free and seem to be the closest thing to natural-looking eyelashes you can get.

2. PHOTO FINISH
I have heard on NUMEROUS occasions that photographers just love when their brides have eyelash extensions. They say it makes eyes pop and eyelashes stand out — making for a perfect picture. After your wedding, pictures will be some of your only memories, so splurge and look great with eyelash extensions!

3. HONEYMOON
No matter where you go or what you do, you'll want to be looking your best. Eyelash extensions will allow you to just get up and go! Planning on heading to the Caribbean? Hawaii? Somewhere tropical? Even better! Your eyelash extensions are allowed to get wet. Plus, your honey will enjoy waking up to your already beautiful (and makeup-free!) face.

Round We Go

DEARLY BELOVED DETAIL ... wreaths!

We've seen a handful of receptions getting their welcome on with wreaths! Wondrous, wow-worthy wreaths.

We very much approve of said trend.
